Mission Statement

The mission of the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association is to improve the economy in the greater Kansas City area by attracting conventions and visitors. Sales and marketing efforts and dollars are directed at conventions, trade shows and tourism in both group and individual leisure travel. Our marketing efforts are to distinguish Kansas City from its competitors as the place to visit. Our sales and services are also provided to extend stays longer and encourage return trips from our visitors. The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association maintains two Visitor Information Centers in the Kansas City area.

Description

The CVA is committed to promoting and elevating Kansas City's status as a prime spot for conventions, meetings, tour groups, business travel and leisure travel. The CVA is supported by a membership of 720 businesses involved in supporting the local hospitality community. The CVA operates three visitor centers throughout the Kansas City area. These centers maintain a library of promotional materials on Kansas City's many attractions, hotels, restaurants, shops, special events and more.
