Mission Statement
The mission of "Read to Achieve Summer Program "is to enhance and strengthen each student' s academic performance according to the No Child Left
Behind Act and the Tennessee State Department of Education Curricular Standards.
Description
The Read To Achieve Summer Program is a warm and caring environment directed by Metropolitan Davidson County educators. This summer program will include
participants ranging from ages 4 through 12(Pre-K through 6 grades) with the opportunity for active involvement in the areas of Math, Writing, Reading, and
Technology. The goal of Read To Achieve is to create an exciting and educational setting where all children can learn and apply skills, acquire knowledge, and develop the attitudes necessary to reach and increase their potential.
With this goal in mind, the staff of Read To Achieve believe this program will assist the students in becoming life long learners and productive citizens
contributing to living in a democratic society.
As educators, we see the need to provide all students the opportunities to be exposed to long lasting programs in their communities.
