Mission Statement

GridRepublic provides supercomputing resources to public-interest research projects, with the goal of advancing science and medicine.

Description

GridRepublic members run a screensaver that allows their computers to work on public-interest research projects when the machines are not otherwise in use. By aggregating idle resources from users around the world, we create a massive supercomputer. The organization at this point has two areas of activity: (1) Ongoing technology development, and (2) Outreach (PR/Marketing).
