- To cooperate with other centers and agencies for the betterment of all
The Mountlake Terrace Seniors Group was established to provide a meeting facility as well as services and activities for the recreational, intellectual, physical and mental needs of adults, age 50 and over in our community. We offer opportunities for older adults to create healthy and satisfying lives, build strong caring relationships and to interact with their community in meaningful ways.
Established in 1997 as the Mountlake Terrace Senior Group, our organization has grown from a small group of friends having lunch and playing cards to outgrowing our current 800 square foot activity center, now known as theMountlake TerraceSeniorCenter. The mission of our senior center is to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of adults ages 50-100 who have a full range of health, education, and financial abilities.
We promote wellness of mind, body and spirit for older adults without regard for race, creed, color, national origin or sexual orientation; provide facilities and essential services to meet the recreational, intellectual, physical and mental health needs of older adults; seek to improve the quality of life for older adults in our community by providing an enlivened and friendly environment, promoting health and wellness.
