Description

Reading Is Power International Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that provides small libraries to communities in need. The libraries are self-contained and include books, a cabinet, and a simple card-based checkout and cataloging system. The typical library consists of approximately 100 to 1000 books.

"Reading is Power" strives to increase the awareness of communities in need. We provide an opportunity for volunteers to address these needs by donating their time, talents and resources. Diverse groups of volunteers are utilized to perform all the work in creating each library.

I really enjoyed working with this organization. Mike was really great to work with, as are all of the volunteers. I had to have surgery, but still wanted to work from home on the library project. He brought all of the materials to me, so that I could still help out. If it wasn't for the fact that I moved to North Carolina, I would still be involved. I encourage everyone to get involved with this very worthy project. Reading Is Power!
