Mission Statement

The mission of the Collier County Emergency Management Department is to ensure that local capabilities exist to prepare, respond and recover from all types of major emergencies in Collier County (hurricanes, fires, national security, to name a few).

Do you crave excitement and adventure? Tired of the same old, same old? Help your fellow citizens by volunteering in the Collier County Emergency Management Department! Protect lives, property, and mitigate the effects of a disaster.

Collier County Emergency Management coordinates all disaster response and recovery activities in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This includes coordination of all state and federal resources, liaison with state and federal support agencies, coordination of local disaster volunteer efforts, documentation of disaster operations and any federal financial assistance, coordination with local officials on development of recovery plans for each community in Collier County.

The EOC continually monitors potential threats and risks to Collier County. We work with local first responders to ensure training for effective coordinated response will occur, as well as local government officials on ways to minimize the effects of disasters on Collier County residents and communities.
