Mission Statement

WE CAN!! strives to inspire and support both the personal and professional development of the indigenous people of the United States and Canada; and to educate society in general as to the achievements and contributions of modern American Indians, while facilitating communication between American Indians and non-Indians.

Description

Established in 2004, WE CAN!! is in the process of designing a new Living Museum and Cultural Center. This Center will highlight successful Indians in modern arenas such as business, politics, science, entertainment, pro sports, academia, etc. The whole experience of the Center will be very modern, yet grounded in the culture and traditions that Native Americans have established over thousands of years.

The Center will also house a large amphitheater, accessible to the general public. This portion of the building will serve to host symposiums on Native American issues, allow American Indian musicians, performers and filmmakers a chance to hold concerts and galas, and serve as a community building that can be rented out for events in order to help cover maintenance costs.
