Mission Statement

We Are Committedto bringing area residents and businesses together with the common goal of making a difference to those who need our support. While our community service projects and special events are organized to benefit others they should also demonstrate the value of cooperation and leadership to other young men and women throughout the community.

Description

The Matlacha Mariners are a group of men who have organized to help with some of the local needs of our community that are not being met otherwise.

Our Main Focus to date has been to help Elementary School Students and specifically Pine Island Elementary Music Education Students. As we grow and mature as an organization so shall our contributions to the Greater Pine Island community as a whole. We have developed and produce two successful festivals and organize one social fund raiser, all held as annual events. Currently these three events are the only source of revenue used to fund our various contribution efforts. Whenever possible we try to contribute in some way to the efforts of other charitable organizations in the Greater Pine Island Area . We often help our sister organization "The Matlacha Hookers, Inc." (a local, non profit women's organization) who really do an outstanding job providing help and support to a variety of people.
