The YWCA is a women's membership movement nourished by roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values. Strengthened by diversity, the Association draws together memebers who strive to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership and poer in order to attain a common vision:

The Association will thrust it's collective power toward the elimination of racisim wherever it exits and by any means necessary.

Description

The YWCA is implementing afterschool programs for English Language Learning elementary students at two local schools. Destination F.U.N. (firing up neurons) is designed to provide educational assistance from 2:45 to 5:45 each weekday for 120 children. Students do physical and enrichment activities; meet with certified teachers for math, science and reading activities; get homework help and subject tutoring; and meet with music and art teachers on Fridays.
