Mission Statement

STAGEBRIDGE is the nation's oldest Senior Theatre Company. Based in Oakland, California, STAGEBRIDGE is an arts organization that uses theatre and storytelling to bridge the generation gap and to stimulate positive attitudes toward aging.

Description

STAGEBRIDGE's intergenerational programs feature theater productions, storytelling and improv in the schools, visits to frail seniors, presentations on healthy aging through the arts, and a writing contest for children. No prior theater experience is necessary; anyone 55 and over can join our "creative aging" programs. We train our volunteer performers to demonstrate our vision of cooperation, creativity, and joy among people of all ages and backgrounds.
