Description
The Morrell Foundation and volunteers from across the nation built the first Morrell Foundation, iCare Village on the gulf coast after Hurricane Katrina in Waveland Mississippi. The Village Housed and accommodated as many as 800 volunteers and provided over 150,000 hours of free volunteer labor. Food, Bathrooms, shower facility, laundry facility, and internet service were provided to the volunteers. The iCare Village served as a volunteer headquarters and community support center. The Morrell Foundation plans to continue building iCare Villages across the United States and eventually across the world.
