Mission Statement

The da Vinci School was founded in the inquisitive spirit of its Renaissance namesake, who believed that learning comes from the investigation of nature and science, as well as the arts. We believe that young children are very capable learners. Here, families with children from eighteen months through kindergarten and primer levels will find an atmosphere that promotes our primary vision: to love learning.
Our mission is to establish basic skills through teaching methods that stimulate your child’s interest in a broad variety of subjects, while shaping their self-confidence and self-image.

Description

A science-based program that seres children 18 months to age seven in a prmier Gold LEED certified campus dedicated exclusvely to early childhood education.

The da Vinci School takes a thematic approach to learning, with our primary emphasis being SCIENCE (social studies is a secondary focus). We find the topics that fall under the general discipline of science are of high interest to young children. Young children have a tremendous curiosity about the world around them. They want to know -- What is that? How does it work? Why is it that way? and Let ME try it! For this reason, the classroom is very hands on.

Science is also a rich springboard for exploring the other developmental disciplines -- art, literature, language and reading skills, cognitive processes, practical life skills, fine and gross motor development, math concepts, music, and social development.
