Mission Statement

Everyone has the right to an education if they seek one- The Kirkwood program offers opportunity to those in our community who seek improvement to speak better English, become high school graduates and or both and become US citizens that lead to a productive and happy lives in IOWA.

Description

We seek volunteers for basic math, reading and ELL conversation skills in our community for refugees, immigrants and high school diploma seekers with low skills. Training and books provided. Guidnce available at all times for the volunteer coordinator and we ask for a minimum commitment of one trimester. July- Oct, Oct- Dec or Jan-March for the student and volunteer to see progress. Refernces given as expereince if needed.
