The Monterey County Women's Crisis Center is dedicated to promoting violence free lives and a safer, healthier community.

Description

24-hour crisis line, providing crisis intervention, information and referral (831) 757-1001 or (888) 757-1001

Temporary restraining orders, harassment orders, safety plans and court accompaniment

Individual and group therapy provided by licensed therapists and registered interns

Peer counseling by highly trained staff and volunteers

Support groups that help victims become survivors

24-hour response for domestic violence and sexual assault victims at hospital emergency rooms

Child abuse prevention classes for children on survival, safety skills and stopping abuse

Parenting and child development classes for pregnant women and mothers

6 - 8 week classes on preventing sexual harassment in schools, self-defense techniques, self-esteem and empowerment, date rape prevention, and other violence prevention curriculum

Community outreach providing early intervention and education on the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse

Information and referrals for services throughout the county

Because I would like to help women in crisis so they can know that their not alone. That there is always people out there that wants to help no matter what.
