The mission of the Talbot County Family Support Center is to encourage, promote, and empower families with young children to become responsible parents and self-sufficient members of the Talbot County community

Description

The Family Support Center, a unique partnership between the Talbot County Health Department and the nonprofit Talbot Family support Center, Inc., prepares Talbot county residents for a life of independence and self-sufficiency. Regular Services provided at the Center include its Early Head Start Program for infants and toddlers, GED classes, high school diploma program for pregnant and parenting students, English as a Second Language classes, family literacy, parenting education, employment programs and health education. All programs at the Center are provided free of charge and are open to all Talbot County residents. Many of the programs are offered in English and Spanish.
