VNA Hospice & Palliative Care

I have been a patient volunteer at VNA Hospice Care for 10-1/2 years. This is by far the most emotionally and spiritually satisfying work I have ever done. The learning I receive, the knowledge I gain and the wonderful people I meet both at VNA Hospice Care as patients and caregivers, all combine to create a most rewarding experience. The other volunteers and I receive terrific support from our volunteer coordinator and different members of staff. Each patient has taught me lessons in courage, dignity and the ability to laugh while facing sorrow and loss.
