Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To help neglected and/or abused equines and their human caregivers, by assisting in the provisions of whatever care is deemed necessary, with compassion, education and ultimately, a solution
First and foremost, we are about the horses/donkeys or mules. We are about understanding what each horse, donkey or mule has been through, and making every effort available to rehabilitate them, on an individual basis. Love, kindness, dietary needs, hoof care, veterinary care, training if necessary, and time. Time to heal, time to trust humans again, time to reveal who they are.
We try and determine the needs of the horse, donkey or mule owner if possible, to help enable them to keep their horse, donkey or mule. If that is not possible, then we will try to find a foster home, or re-home them to a permanent one.
We offer assistance with hay, supplements, hoof care, veterinary care, and euthanasia.
Our goal is to continue in the rehabilitation of neglected or abused horses/mules/donkeys, whether voluntarily surrendered or confiscated by law enforcement from unsuitable homes. Some have become permanent residents of our sanctuary, while others have been and will be available for adoption. The goal of either is a second chance for a good quality of life. This facility will also be available to the community, special needs organizations, offering instruction, therapy for some, and education, provided by knowledgeable people and trainers.
