St. Luke's Episcopal Church Shower Program

Description

St. Luke’s seeks to reach out to everyone in our community, including those who struggle for basic necessities. Four Saturdays a month we offer a hot shower, clean clothing, amenities, and a meal to our homeless friends. We serve from 75-100 at the Showers, plus some who come for clothing only. Our facilities include one full-service shower for women, as well as three full-service showers and two lavatories for men. Recently the church has been opened to our guests for silent prayer, or to have a volunteer pray with them at their request. We believe in practicing the words of St. Francis of Assisi: "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." Donations of clean, appropriate clothing and shoes, especially socks and underwear are needed and welcome.
