Mission Statement

The Mission of the Division of Aging & Adult Services is to promote the health, safety, and independence of older Arkansans and adults with physical disabilities.

The Mission of the Arkansas Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is to recruit and train senior volunteers to prevent health care fraud.

Description

The SMP is a national grant program, with an SMP in every state as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. SMPs recruit and train volunteers to spread the message of fraud prevention through outreach and education by teaching three simple steps: PROTECT personal information; DETECT errors and fraud by reading the MSN/EOB; and REPORT suspected fraud, errors and abuse.
