Mission Statement

Jackson County Child Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly environment for children who are alleged victims or witnesses of a crime.

JCCAC is a program of Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee and Hilllsdale Counties.

The mission of Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties is the work of the Catholic Church, to share the love of Christ by performing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.

We carry out our mission by empowering individuals with the capacity and the desire to improve their quality of life. Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor. At Catholic Charities we carry out that command by providing help and creating hope for spiritually, emotionally, and financially poor individuals and families in our community.

Description

JCCAC is a child advocacy center. We offer a safe place in which children are interviewed by a highly-trained staff person, who conducts neutral, fact-finding, child-oriented interviews. JCCAC works with AWARE to provide crisis counseling for the non-offending parents or guardians when they are at our center.
