Description

Youth Outreach Adolescent Community AIDS Program (YOACAP) initiated in January 1989, as a program of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition (GPUAC). The organization started its activities with an initial funding source of $ 50,000, which was an award granted from Philadelphia Department of Public Health/AIDS Activities Coordinating Office. Over the years YOACAP extended the variety of services that is providing to our community. Today the organization offers a larger variety of services and works closely with community groups, parents, schools and government entities to provide resources for the youth and young adults of Philadelphia.

YOACAP’s programs are grouped within four major organizational units: Behavioral Health, Youth & Family Preservation, Media Health Promotions and Research, Program Development & Evaluation.
