Mission Statement

Our Rivers of Life Inc.’s goal is "Making Today’s Youth into Tomorrow’s Leaders". Our program is geared to provide a positive support program that will help build character & life skills, career development through positive lives and the world of diversity & encouragement. Our Rivers of Life Inc.'s main objective is to provide quality services that will have a great impact on risk factors that lead to juvenile delinquency and be a catalyst for change in helping to address factors in underserved youth that lack parental supervision, education, employment training & opportunities, and help shift the paradigm of attitudes and acceptance of condoning juvenile criminal behavior within the family and community dynamic

Description

We expect to have a ratio of 1 providers/volunteers per 4 participants and 1:1 mentoring for youth ages 12-20. We will meet 3-5 days a week for a 2 part 60-90 minute sessions. Each session will consist of a group or individual sessions from our scheduled program and a 1 hour tutoring session. We will conduct group and individual meetings and activities that are part of our Mentoring, Recovery Support, & Career Development programs. We will also provide group, individual & family Spiritual Coaching as optional, and any other necessary individual counseling.

Volunteer/Provider and all staff will undergo training on confidentiality; code of ethics for both providers and participants, parent orientation on services provided and meet the mandatory quarterly training provided by Our Rivers of Life. We will have recognitions and awards ceremonies for milestones and participant achievements
