Our organization started in 2008 when two immigrant sisters, Aissata Mounir Belgrade Camara, and Mariama Mounir Camara, decided to speak up and rise up against the domestic and gender-based violence they faced in the United States and in their native country of the Republic of Guinea. Aissata and Mariama only had $18 to put towards their dream of empowering people to ensure they live in dignity and security. Today, There Is No Limit Foundation has grown into a reputable and widely recognized organization working in the Republic of Guinea, Côte D’Ivoire, and the United States. Our work has benefitted more than 35,000 people in these countries. More than 10 million people have been reached through our advocacy for human rights and the protection of women and girls from domestic and gender-based violence. Our work has been featured in media worldwide including The Guardian, Deutche Welle (DW,) PBS, Vogue, the New York Times, and Brut.
