Mission Statement

We are an adult adoptee community, amidst adult adoptee communities.

We are committed to education. We conduct panels, workshops and other events to teach others about transracial adoption and to give voice to the Adoptee Experience.

We support cultural learning. We conduct events that allow adoptees, their families and others in our communities to explore culture - Korean, Korean-American and adoptee - and their relation to it. We support the art, writings, music and other creations of those in our community who have the will and spirit to create it.

We believe in social justice and the power of the individual to affect change, both in that individual's own lives and in their larger communities.

We like to get together - to learn, to exchange ideas, to break bread together and to participate in our communities as a whole.

Description

Boston Korean Adoptee Inc. has various events throughout the year. We reach out to the public for volunteer support both as an opportunity to learn about who BKA is and about the Adoption Experience, as well as creating a community support around adoptees.
