Mission Statement

The Mississippi Animal Rescue League is committed to the humane treatment of animals. We shall shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals. We shall place animals into humane environments. We shall implement programs and provide services to promote responsible pet ownership. We shall be advocates for animals. We shall speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Description

A non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Mississippi in 1969, for the prevention of cruelty to animals.Our primary funding is through donations and gifts. We are not a federal, state or government agency. We operate the largest full service Humane Society in Central Mississippi serving a seven county area. Taking in over 14,000 animals annually we provide a positive link between people and animals. Our future includes the building of a new state of the art, Animal Welfare Center, that will allow us to expand on our services to animals and people in our communities. All creatures great and small are welcome at MARL.
