This is the modicum that serves as the premise and foundation for IMPACT Community Development Corporation â a modicum that is articulated in IMPACT CDCâ s daily efforts to provide education, leadership development, oratorical skills and economic opportunities and housing for families, persons and communities in need. Description

IMPACT CDC has established a Youth Leadership Institute-Emerging Leaders Program as a mechanism to build leadership skills and developmental abilities of target youth while making significant contribution to their community. This initiative is also designed to engage youth and their parents. IMPACTCDC will serve a total of forty (40) teens (ages 13 through 18) from selected high schools in East Orange , Montclair and the surrounding townships. We are recruiting both traditional and non-traditional youth leaders â traditional in the sense of those youth who have excelled academically, and have demonstrated leadership ability and civic interest in the form of school and/or community related service activities. Non-traditional leadersâ as those youth, who despite a record of disciplinary actions and substandard academic performance, were always deemed the leader in their peer circle due to their charisma and ability to motivate peers
