Mission Statement

Mission Statement The Salvation Army was founded in 1865 by William Booth in London, England and has been serving people in need in the United States since 1880. The founder of The Salvation Army wanted to meet the needs of the total person; body, mind and spirit. Today, The Salvation Army's mission remains the same and strives to deliver vital services such as; emergency food, shelter, clothing, disaster relief, visitation to sick and lonely individuals, youth and senior programs, tutorial programs, computer and job readiness programs and more. The agency also offers seasonal programs -- Thanksgiving, Christmas, Summer Activities, Etc. Salvation Army programs and services are offered to less fortunate people in 124 countries worldwide; without discrimination of any kind.
