Mission Statement

The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive research to find preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.

Description

The Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) was formed in 1971 and has raised over $240 million in find a cure for retinal degenerative diseases. FFB headquarters are located in Owings Mills, MD, and the Rocky Mountain region office is located in Englewood, CO.

FFB is coordinating Walk-a-thon events across the country in 2006 and the first annual event will be held in Denver, CO on Saturday, September 30 at The Hudson Gardens and Recreation Center in Littleton, CO.
