Description
The "Earn It. Keep It. Save It." campaign, launched by the Nashville Wealth Building Alliance in 2004, promotes the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to low income wage earners. During the 2006 tax season, more than 5,000 tax returns were completed by more than 150 VITA volunteers. An estimated $2.8 million was claimed in EITC refunds alone.
