Skills to Succeed fulfills this mission by providing a spectrum of services to individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, high anxiety disorder, and other clinical and developmental needs. The agency also provides programs for parents to help them improve their parenting skills, learn applied behavior analysis, and parent with intent.

Programs are based on well-researched models and best practices, typically utilizing cognitive behavioral and applied behavior analysis. Outcome studies are utilized to ensure that clients are receiving the best services in the area.

Skills to Succeed seeks to make services accessible to those with financial difficulty and accepts scholarship applications for all programs. Scholarships are assigned based on availability and need.

Description

Fun & Fitness with Friends is a social and recreational program for children and teens with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related clinical or developmental needs. Kids and teens get to be active, develop new skills and make friends in a structured and supportive environment.

Fun & Fitness with Friends pairs recreational activities like swimming, Zumba, sports, dance, etc. with other educational and art activities to give participants a full-range of opportunities to impact wellness and socialization. Each child or teen is paired with a volunteer "buddy" to assist them throughout the year.
