artHARLEM is ... a community based not-for-profit organization that manages H.O.A.S.T. (Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour) and other curatorial events throughout New York City. Our events showcase the works of the under-represented artists of Harlem.

Description

The Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour (HOAST) was created to unite and promote the artists of Harlem through an annual open studio tour. For two days, art lovers will have a chance to visit the working spaces of contemporary artists, gain an intimate understanding of the creative process, talk to the artists in a relaxed atmosphere and perhaps buy art. By bringing visitors directly into artists' studios, our goal is to create an awareness of the culture of modern Harlem.
