Mission Statement

The mission is to authentically recreate the life styles of Pinellas County pioneers through the relocation or recreation of period buildings and education about the skills, crafts, and social customs of early settlers.

Description

The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement is a living history museum that strives to recreate the life styles of late 19 th - early 20 th century Pinellas County pioneers through the relocation or reproduction of period buildings and education about the skills, crafts, and social customs of early settlers.

Established in 1985, the 20 acre settlement houses nine structures, both historic and recreated, which represent life in central Florida during the turn-of-the-century era from around 1880 to 1920.
