Description

The Minneapolis Public Library strives to provide resources, technology, and programs to help new immigrants live, learn, and work in the Twin Cities .

As part of its system-wide focus on immigrant and refugee populations, Minneapolis Public Library has created the New Americans Center at Central Library, providing volunteer-led conversation circles and other language programming; materials and software for self-directed study of the English language; brochures, books, web links, and referral information about housing, education, childcare, employment, health, social services, transportation, legal aid, and cultural issues; citizenship study and preparation materials; as well as speakers, workshops and other special events.
