Mission Statement

To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectural disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Description

Looking for volunteers to serve on a local management team to help start a Carbon County program. Carbon County is the only county in Pennsylvania without a local Special Olympics program. Also will be looking for potential coaches for initial sports to be offered.
