Children's Home Society- MODEL Mentoring Program

Children's Home Society of Florida has been protecting children and growing healthy, happy families for more than 100 years. Last year in Central Florida, CHS provided more than 20 programs to keep 10,000 children safe and to build and stabilize families. Our employees and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the well being of the children in these program. One such program is the MODEL Mentoring Program. MODEL is a community based mentoring program in which volunteer mentors are matched with a child that have at least one parent incarcerated in state or federal prison. These children struggle each day to cope with their family situations, and our mentors are there to help guide them to positive choices.
