Stepping Stone housing offers so much more than safe, affordable housing for families. It is individualized comprehensive programming designed to create residential stability and greater self-reliance through community partnerships.
Stepping Stone housing will consist of 10 units of affordable housing ranging in size from 2 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms. In addition, two existing homes are undergoing renovation and each will house a Stepping Stone family.
Families with children living in the School District of Wisconsin Dells who meet income qualifications and are willing to participate in programming are eligible to apply.
Stepping Stone residents will benefit from on-site professional, individualized support to build skills in money management, employability, nutrition and more. Families will work with the Renewal Unlimited’s Director of Housing Services to set goals and work toward stability and financial independence.
Join us for programming workshops on topics including family budgeting, employability, healthy cooking and more. The public is invited to participate in these informative sessions, and Stepping Stone residents are strongly encouraged to attend.
The Stepping Stone complex is owned by St. Vincent de Paul of Wisconsin Dells. Renewal Unlimited, Inc., and Wisconsin Partnership for Housing Development are co-developers of the project. The Stepping Stone committee thrives much in part to the collaboration of representatives from many local community groups who contribute to the planning and programming of the project.
