Mission Statement

Learning by Doing.

Description

The CMA is a hands-on educationally based museum serving children as well as their families, schools, and community organizations. This is done by providing interactive exhibits, special services, performances and workshops. It sees over 44,000 visitors from 37 parishes across Louisiana annually.

As the CMA works toward its original goal, the belief that "Every Child Has the Potential to Do Great Things!", we endeavor to give back and reach out to the community through new alliances and volunteer services. The CMA is committed to serving the toddler to twelve-year-old age group. This is done by creating and providing educationally based exhibits and programs designed to encourage interaction with real objects for a broad range of developmental milestones. The CMA seeks to reach a vast audience in order to foster imagination and curiosity in all ages, while always embodying the museum’s Mission of "Learning by Doing".
