Description

San Diego Teen Court, Inc - Teen Court is a juvenile diversion program where first-time juvenile offenders accept responsibility for a crime they have committed and agree to have a binding sentence selected by a jury of their peers - high school students from the City of San Diego. Our mission is to reduce juvenile crime by empowering youth to make positive choices and by educating high school students about the criminal justice system. Currently we have 2 programs - a school-based program in high schools throughout the county and a Justice Project, which provides an opportunity for our high school volunteers to gain more experience and trainings. The school-based program is during school hours where as the Justice Project is an evening program.
