Stove To Table - Kitchen Volunteers Needed

Advance's Stove to Table program delivers healthy, made from scratch meals for seniors living in subsidized housing in Maricopa County. This population experiences disproportionately high levels of food insecurity and chronic illness and our hot, fresh meals go a long way to help ease this burden and improve their quality of life. Each week we prepare and individually package 200 meals for delivery in our kitchen. We rely on volunteers to help us prepare large quantities of ingredients, fresh fruits, and vegetables; as well as package meals and clean the kitchen at the end of a meal. There are four shifts available each Tuesday and Wednesday. Volunteers are welcome to stay for one or more shifts as their schedule allows. Shifts available are Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Meal Prep - 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM Meal Prep & Packaging - 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM Clean up - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM We ask that you come dressed to work in a kitchen; please no open toed shoes. Volunteers 16+ are welcome with a parent or guardian.

Nourishing your Health - Assembling Nutritional Food Boxes

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and managing chronic diseases can be tough when you do not have enough healthy food. That is why we started our new program, Nourishing Your Health. This program not only provides health education but also delivers nutritious food to those in need. Nourishing Your Health offers monthly nutrition boxes specifically designed for people with chronic conditions. By giving both knowledge and healthy food, we help people make better choices and live healthier lives. Help us make an impact in our community by assembling nutritional food boxes. Activities include taping boxes, packaging ingredients, and assembling boxes for pickup. Your efforts will directly support families in need and promote healthier lifestyles.
