Mission Statement

New Directions for Women is a safe, caring and sensitive residential treatment facility. By providing exceptional, gender-specific addiction treatment services that are grounded in the 12-Step principles, New Directions assists women, their families and their children to achieve sustained responsible recovery.

Description

We believe in treating the whole woman in affordable sanctuary where she finds independence and support while healing the wounds inflicted by addiction. Our program is creative, invitational and employs proactive treatment methods to meet the special treatment needs of each patient and their family.

Our gender-specific, culturally relevant treatment consists of a variety of proven programs. We teach our patients how to live a more holistic life and coach them on relapse prevention skills. Our program provides successive levels of residential care from Primary to Extended Care services in which our patients have the opprtunity to learn necessary skills and coping mechanisms to live as sober, recovering women.

Are you an addict looking for an excuse to use? Are you an addict who is seeking a rehab center with the least credentialed staff and most unstructured program? Or maybe you or just an addict who is looking for a daily schedule of nonstop arts and crafts to distract you from working on your inner conflicts. If so, you have met your match: New Directions For Women, or Nude Erections For Women as the patients and alumni affectionately refer to it as. If you are an addict that fits any of the aforementioned criteria, here are several reasons New Directions just might be "the one": 1. Severely understaffed, NDFW will ensure you get the least amount of individual attention. Also, going to AA meetings on a consistent basis is out of the question. 2. Although it claims all therapists have Masters, some retain no 4 year college degree. 3. Arts and Crafts around the clock 4. If a patient tests dirty, she is not garunteed to be expelled from the program
