Mission Statement

Our mission: Habitat for Humanity believes that everyman, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Our partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods.

Description

The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by building basic, decent housing.

Coastal Habitat for Humanity was incorporated in Asbury Park in 1994 by a group of 13 people including clergy, representing eight Monmouth County towns, who were concerned with the need for decent, affordable housing for low-income families in the shore communities.
