Academy of Excellence

Mission Statement

The Academy of Excellence School is designed to create greater
developmental equity for Iredell County students who represent the greatest
risk of academic failure due to significant socio-economic and educational
challenges individually as well as in their family, neighborhood, and
community environment. Our mission is to change student aspirations and
expectations, foster pro-social behaviors, reduce problem behaviors, alter
study habits and time spent in non-productive activities; facilitate greater
parental involvement and improve parent-child relationships through
exceptional educational solutions focused on preparing every student for
North Carolina's most competitive high schools through an integrated
academic design.
