The goal of the Injury Prevention Center is to reduce injuries in Rhode Island through community outreach, research and education.

Description

Injuries are the leading cause of death among Rhode Island children and young adults. However, many injuries can be avoided by studying and developing programs aimed at preventing injuries from occurring. For this reason, emergency department physicians created the Injury Prevention Center in 1998.
