Mission Statement

Pets Limited Rescue is an all-volunteer animal rescue organization in Northern Virginia dedicated to rescuing animals from cruelty, neglect and euthanasia and promoting better care and compassion towards domestic animals, especially dogs and puppies.

Pets Limited Rescue Program deals solely with domesticated animal rescue and adoption. Thanks to public and corporate donations, we can nurse the needy animals back to health, update their vaccinations and get them spayed/neutered as needed before placing them in warm, caring permanent homes.

We have a No-Kill Policy. We will not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals in our care. Animals may only be euthanized if they are severely injured, too aggressive for human contact or terminally ill. NOTE: We follow the same no-kill policy as most other rescues and humane societies.

Goals

  • Rescue animals abandoned in shelters, strays and surrendered companion animals.
  • Locate responsible, dedicated and caring volunteers to provide temporary shelter for individual animals in a nurturing, loving environment.
  • Train new volunteers on an on-going basis to promote team work and better understanding of the program process.
  • Educate the public on basic care and training of the animals and refer them to Professional animal trainers as needed.
