Third District Volunteer Fire Department

Description

The Third District Volunteer Fire Department protects the unincorporated portions of Jefferson Parish which are bounded by Filmore Ave. and Roosevelt Ave. to the West, Interstate 10 to the North, David Dr., Hickory and the Harahan city limits to the East, and the Mississippi River to the South. This includes River Ridge and western Metairie. We are contracted by Jefferson Parish to provide fire protection, fire prevention, and hazardous materials response. We have a mutual aid agreement with all of the fire departments in Jefferson Parish and the City of New Orleans.
