Description
All projects supported by Vibha are exclusively targeted towards children in need in India and the US. Primary focus areas are education, vocational training, care for physically and /or mentally challenged children, rescue and rehabilitation of children in vulnerable conditions. Vibha's initiatives are not alternatives or replacements of those provided by the local, state or central governments but to provide services where such government-sponsored services are either missing or insufficient. Since the social and domestic environment significantly affects a child's development, Vibha also focuses on the improvement of these environments by selecting specific projects to fund.
In the US, Vibha partners with local non-profits to help address their needs. Some examples include, our fundraising and volunteer sourcing efforts for "Stop Hunger Now" of raleigh; volunteering with Duke children's hospital and health center, to help with their fund raising needs for children fighting cancer through the 'Color my run 5k'. BigBrothers Big Sisters program of the greater twin cities, Childrens' Healthcare of Atlanta, City House- Collin Intervention to Youth Shelter in Plano Texas are a few other US non profits that Vibha partners with and supports. In India, Girls education and vocation program- Alamb, AURED- Aural Education for the Hearing Impaired, BCT- Tribal schools to benefit tribal children, Corp India- Vidya Sagar Vikas Kendra- Counseling and rehabilitation of children of sex workers, are a few of the many projects that Vibha sponsors.
