Women's & Girls' Cancer Alliance (Formerly Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida)

Description

The Women's & Girls' Cancer Alliance, formerly Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida, is the only organization in Central Florida that educates and advocates for good gynecological health for both women and girls while providing programs developed for gynecologic and breast cancer patients. Gynecologic cancers include: ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.

Statistically, one third of all women and girls diagnosed with a gynecological cancer will die. This is a statistic almost double that of breast cancer, and no one is discussing these gynecological issues.

Females are born with their gynecological parts and can be diagnosed at any age. WGCA educates women and girls, as well as healthcare providers, about subtle symptoms and unspoken truths that are not readily discussed anywhere else.
