Mission Statement

The Depression Center’s mission is to improve the lives of people with depression and mood disorders through clinical excellence, innovative research, community programs, and education.

Description

The UCDC opened in 2008 with the goal to better understand, identify and treat people with depression, bipolar disorder and related conditions such as anxiety and sleep disorders. The UCDC’s core program areas work collaboratively to achieve three bold goals: to promote mental health as key to healthy living for all Coloradans; to develop, provide and disseminate effective care for people with depression and bipolar disorder; and to eliminate barriers to quality care and healthy communities. The UCDC operates within the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is located on the state-of-the-art Anschutz Medical Campus alongside facilities for six schools, three hospitals, and 41 affiliated specialty centers and institutes.
