Inquire
Walimu inquires about local health care needs through our long-standing relationships with local providers. We adapt innovative, evidence-based models of care to fit the practice of medicine in Uganda, and evaluate their feasibility. These programs provide a blueprint for local providers to engage the Ugandan community to make a difference.
Advocate
Walimu works with Ugandan community members, health professionals, philanthropists and policy makers to marshal political and financial support for programs to ensure their effective implementation and sustainability.
Empower
Walimu imparts the skills necessary for local providers to be able to implement the proposed programs, while providing the logistical support, scientific mentoring, and encouragement to ensure that plans are executed.
Transform
By seeking evidence-based solutions, engaging local partners, and following our vision through to realization, we are gradually transforming the health care delivery process in Uganda, with minimal resources and maximum efficiency.
