Mission Statement
Axios Youth Community exists to restore hope, confidence, and security through individualized treatment interventions for youth and young adults in need.
Ethos is a Greek word used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a group, community, nation, or ideology. The Axios Ethos is therefore summed up by the following statement:
May all our actions promote the creation of space and time for the youth in our care, so that they may feel safe enough to begin the terrifying process of healing from the injustices in their pasts. We create space by embracing and enjoying the person’s individuality, and by constructing the environment at Axios in a way that promotes individualism and character growth. We create time by fiercely advocating for all disadvantaged people, but especially for the youth in our care with a fundamental position that refuses to believe anyone is ever beyond help, healing, and full restoration.
Description
Axios Youth Community is a residential home in Pueblo, Colorado, that houses young men aged 14-21. These young men enter our program through the Department of Human Services or the Division of Youth Corrections with the intentions of learning healthy transision and independant living skills. We provide a safe place for these young men to grow and heal from past traumas and learn new techniques and skills for moving forward and making healthy choices for themselves.
